Suzuki Yoshio is a contemporary bonsai artist gaining international attention for his unique works that breathe new life into withered bonsai trees. He was born in Tokyo.
Taking bonsai that would otherwise have been discarded, he dries and reworks them, adding new leaves and colors to transform them into one-of-a-kind artworks known as "RE BONSAI." His distinctive practice unites traditional bonsai culture with a contemporary design sensibility and the philosophy of upcycling.
Honoring the natural beauty of each tree's form, he creates works that function equally as interior design objects and as contemporary art. His pieces are highly regarded by companies and galleries both in Japan and abroad.
